Alten: departure of the Deputy CEO


(CercleFinance.com) – Alten announced on Friday evening the departure of its deputy managing director, Gérald Attia, who has decided to devote himself to a new professional project.

He arrived at Alten when the company was created 33 years ago. Since 1998, he has held the position of Deputy Managing Director in charge of development and international 2 (Asia, North America and
Eastern Europe).

He also served on the company’s board of directors.

In a reaction note, analysts at Invest Securities recall that the senior executive played a ‘crucial’ role within the technology group, of which he oversaw nearly 40% of the activity since he was at the head of the geographical areas generating the main driver of organic growth.

‘His departure, a priori not replaced at this stage, could temporarily weigh on the activity and will not fail to question’, continues the brokerage firm.

‘The organization and the seriousness in terms of execution at Alten could nevertheless limit this impact’, adds Invest.

On the Paris Stock Exchange, Alten shares rose 0.8% in the first trade on Monday morning, compared with a 1% increase for the SBF 120 index.
