Nice move from Xiaomi, whose Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G wins in this duel of mid-range Chinese brand smartphones. It beats, logically of course, its colleague the Realme GT Master Edition.
Realme, Xiaomi, Oppo… Chinese manufacturers are fighting a fierce battle in the mid-range, when they don’t have to fight with historical players like Samsung. So inevitably, they compete in ingenuity, but also in references to offer products on the market with excellent value for money. And among the notable smartphones released in recent months, the Realme GT Master Edition and the Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G are doing well. However, it is Xiaomi’s mobile that emerges victorious in this duel, even if Realme’s is far from undeserving. Both smartphones scored 4 stars in our tests.
Best almost everywhere…
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro stands out in almost all categories, although there is not a huge difference between the two mobiles. For design and ergonomics, it is the IP53 standard of the Redmi Note 11 Pro that allows it to take the lead, although the dimensions and weight plead in favor of its opponent. On the Oled screen side, we are not far from equality, but the Xiaomi model offers better brightness and the rest of our measurements, to a lesser extent, are also in its favor. In terms of autonomy, the two phones have very good endurance, but it is the Xiaomi that stands out once again with its 5000 mAh accumulator which allows it to last for 19 h 50 min.
The Realme GT Master Edition does not totally demerit since its performance is a little better than that of the Xiaomi. Realme’s model includes a Snapdragon 778G paired with 6 GB of RAM, while Xiaomi has opted for a Snapdragon 695 flanked by 8 GB of RAM. This configuration allows it to glean better results on our gaming tests.
Finally, the photo part is quite similar between the two mobiles, even if that of Xiaomi has a main module of 108 megapixels against 64 Mpx for the Realme. But the lab results are slightly in favor of Realme, in particular thanks to a more accurate daytime colorimetry.
