AMA: partnership with Sopra Steria, the title flies away – 03/07/2024 at 12:34

(CercleFinance.com) – AMA shares posted the biggest increase on the Paris market on Thursday following the announcement of the strengthening of its strategic partnership with the technology consulting group Sopra Steria.

Around 12:30 p.m., the action of the assisted reality specialist – which belongs to the Guillemot galaxy – soared by 93% to return to almost one-year highs.

The company, which designs productivity applications for connected mobile workers, such as smart glasses, announced this morning that it will deepen its collaboration with Sopra Steria.

The two partners explain that the synergies between Sopra Steria’s expertise in IT solutions and AMA’s know-how in assisted reality (aR) should bring ‘significant’ improvements to the operational efficiency of companies.

Concretely, this new initiative aims to exploit the data generated by AMA’s ‘XpertEye’ smart glasses application and integrate it into Sopra Steria’s AI solutions.

In addition, Sopra Steria has chosen the ‘XpertEye’ mobility work platform, particularly as part of on-site deployment projects, in order to exploit the capabilities of 5G in remote assistance.

AMA now boasts more than 450 clients such as Alstom, Merck, Boehringer Ingelheim, KPMG, Michelin, Solvay, AkzoNobel, Konica Minolta and Sodexo.

However, this number is down compared to the 490 customer accounts it had in 2022.

But the company had recently expressed some optimism, due to the integration of AI into XpertEye, a move which it said should allow wider adoption of the platform starting this year.

Since its IPO in the summer of 2021, the stock has lost more than 99% of its value.
