Amal and George Clooney: Thanks to them, a theater can celebrate its reopening

Amal and George Clooney supported a theater in their neighborhood financially during the Corona lockdown – and thus saved it.

George (59) and Amal Clooney (42) campaigned for a crisis-ridden theater in their neighborhood. Thanks to some benefactors, "The Mill at Sonning Theater", located in Berkshire west of London, can again welcome spectators to cabaret, magic or comedy performances on October 30th after nine months of corona lockdown. In a Facebook post, the theater, which can also dine, announces that the Clooney couple are among the donors.

"George Clooney and his wife, Amal, who are our neighbors and regular visitors, have been one of our lifeguards to ensure the venue's survival," the post said. The only dinner theater in Great Britain was able to at least reopen the restaurant with a reduced number of tables in July. At the end of October the regular winter program should start. The number of spectators is still limited to 70 people.
