The 80th international film festival is about to start – and a stylish couple has already made a fashion start: Amal Clooney and her husband George.
For Amal Clooney, 45, and her husband George Clooney, 62, Venice is a very special place: the couple said yes on September 27, 2014, surrounded by countless celebrities. Of course, the special day will not be forgotten – especially with Amal and George, it should be omnipresent during the film festival, which is held in the lagoon city every year from the end of August to the beginning of September.

While Amal cuts a fine figure in a high-necked, white sheath dress with a black floral pattern, the 62-year-old wears a dark blue polo shirt, long trousers with fine stripes in white and light blue, and light beige loafers. Amal also chooses elegant shoes, opts for black pumps with decorative buckles and chooses a matching handbag, also in black. Dark sunglasses complete both date night looks.

80th Venice Film Festival: Which celebrities are expected?
It gets ultra-glamorous at the latest when the couple shows themselves on the red carpet of the event. Overall, however, the star density is likely to decrease somewhat this year, as much of Hollywood is staying away from the event for fear of violating the SAG-AFTRA strikes. But there is hope: According to Variety, a select list of films set to premiere in Venice have received a temporary SAG-AFTRA exemption because they are independent productions not produced by AMPTP members.
