(CercleFinance.com) – The group announces that Amazon’s custom electric delivery vehicles made by Rivian are beginning to roll out across the United States.
Customers will see electric delivery vehicles on the road in more than a dozen cities, including Baltimore, Chicago, Dallas, Nashville, San Diego and Seattle.
These vehicles are part of Amazon’s commitment to create a more sustainable delivery fleet that will help it achieve zero carbon emissions across its operations by 2040, in accordance to the commitment made within the framework of the Climate Pledge programme.
Amazon and Rivian plan to make thousands of custom electric delivery vehicles available in more than 100 cities by the end of the year, and 100,000 across the United States by 2030.
