After tech competitor Apple, Amazon is now also introducing new hardware – and it is still completely unclear which Fire TV and Echo products will receive a new edition and whether completely new devices or even robots will be part of the launch event on September 28th.
According to the US technology blog The Verge, Amazon wants to reveal the secret of its new products from 6 p.m. Central European Time and the rumor mill is bubbling: is there a fresh generation of smart Echo speakers? And will these continue to be spherical?
Only one Fire TV model is eligible for a reissue
Experts actually expect the least from new Fire TV sticks: After all, the Fire TV Stick 4K Max is not that old and even the latest generation of the simple Fire TV Stick is still technically up to date.
But the flagship of the Fire TV series could get its next new edition after three years: The Fire TV Cube in its 2nd generation has remained without a successor since 2019 after the short-lived first variant.
