Starting the September 15, the monthly subscription will increase from €5.99 to €6.99, and the annual subscription from €49.99 to €69.99 : with a 40% increase, the latter will therefore become a little less competitive compared to the direct debit every 30 days, which increases by “only” 16.7%. If you are still a student, Amazon Prime Student will go from €2.99 to €3.49 monthly and from €24.00 to €34.99 annually.
The new price will apply to the renewal of your subscription from September 15, 2022. You can check the date of your next renewal, manage or cancel your subscription by going to your account.
This change is related to Prime’s increased operating costs.
We are focused on constantly improving the Prime program. Since we launched Prime in France, we have expanded the selection of products eligible for Prime unlimited fast delivery; added and expanded fast grocery delivery; and added more premium digital entertainment, including TV shows and movies on Prime Video, music on Amazon Music Prime, games on Prime Gaming and books on Prime Reading. Prime Video, in particular, has increased the number of Amazon Original series and movies and added access to sports content in eligible territories.
If you are not yet a subscriber and want to discover the service at a lower cost, you will therefore have to register as soon as possible to take advantage of the current price. And if you are already a customer, your subscription will automatically renew with the new monthly or annual price after September 15th. It will be the price to pay to be able to continue to watch The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power serenely.
