Amazon Prime Video: all about the future Warner Pass

By recovering the HBO series recently lost by OCS, Amazon Prime Video has signed the (very) good deal of this start to the year in the galaxy of streaming platforms. To properly accommodate this new content, the streaming platform has gone big and announced the upcoming arrival of a Warner Pass containing all of its HBO series, but much more.

What programs? What price ? What release date? Here’s everything you need to know about Amazon Prime Video’s future Warner Pass.

What is the Warner Pass?

Like the already existing Ligue 1 Pass, the Warner Pass is an optional paid service soon available exclusively on Prime Video Channels in France. It will bring together content from HBO and 12 other Warner Bros. channels. Discovery.

These channels broadcast a variety of programs for all audiences and considerably strengthen the diversity of the Amazon Prime Video offer. Here they are in detail:

Which HBO films and series in the Warner Pass?

To these 12 thematic channels are obviously added the HBO programs (which recently left OCS), among which the cult series Game Of Thrones, The Sopranos, Veep, Chernobyl, watch men, Band of Brothers, True Detective, TheWire or True Blood.

In addition to this emblematic catalog, the Warner Pass will include more recent HBO series, such as the first season of House of the Dragon (available on OCS), new series like The Idol and White House Plumbersas well as the new seasons of Succession, Perry Mason, The Gilded Age, Winning Time, barry or True Detective: Night Country. As you have understood, the Warner Pass will be well endowed.

When will the Warner Pass be available?

The Warner Pass will be available from March 2023, although a specific date has not yet been revealed.

Exception to this rule: the series The Last of Us will be available to Prime Video subscribers beginning Monday, January 16, at no additional cost.

At what price ?

The price of this Warner Pass has not yet been communicated. To get an idea, however, we can observe the other optional services offered in the Prime Video Channels. For comparison, Paramount+ costs €7.99/month and MUBI €9.99/month. The Warner Pass could therefore be in these waters, even if a price close to the Ligue 1 Pass (€12.99/month) is much more likely. A sum to be added to the Prime Video subscription of €6.99/month, or €69.90/year.

Finally, remember that Warner Bros. Discovery has always planned to release its own streaming platform (entitled MAX) in France from 2024. This agreement with Prime Video will undoubtedly last for the duration of the transition.
