If you want to watch your favorite series on Amazon Prime Video, you may in future be able to play episodes in random order.

Sometimes you don't want to watch episodes of a series you've seen in the normal order, but just randomly. This is useful for example with sitcoms like "The Big Bang Theory". Amazon Prime Video is apparently currently testing a corresponding function in its Android app, as reported by the Android Police website. A "shuffle" mode, i.e. a random playback feature, is currently being rolled out there. So far, however, the function has been limited to individual seasons of a series.

In January, the industry magazine "Variety" reported that Netflix was also working on such a function. The streaming giant plans to release the feature for all users in the first half of the year. When and whether Amazon could make the "Shuffle" mode accessible to users on other devices is currently not known.
