With Bastian Pastewka and Anke Engelke, what is perhaps the highest-calibre duet in German comedy is reunited. Amazon Prime Video is having a new series original knit around the two TV veterans.
The still nameless project is being implemented by bildundtonfabrik, which has already put together the German Netflix surprise hit “How to Sell Drugs Online (Fast)”. When exactly the result will be visible on Amazon Prime Video is still unclear based on the early project status. However, the start date is roughly planned for 2024.
Engelke and Pastewka have repeatedly appeared as a comedy team since the legendary “Wochenshow” days on Sat.1. Anke Engelke was a guest in the series “Pastewka”, the two worked on the German cinema comedy “Der Wixxer” and Amazon Prime Video also brought the two comedy colleagues together again for “LOL – Last One Laughing”.
