More overview and personalization for series and film fans: Amazon Prime Video is now introducing profiles within a user account.
The Amazon Prime Video streaming service introduces a convenience function that competitors such as Netflix have been offering for some time: The creation of multiple profiles within one account is made possible. This promises above all a significantly better series and film overview if, for example, several users with different preferences have access to an account within a family household.
Up to six profiles
In future, users can create up to six different user profiles – one main profile and five more. Each profile shows the progress of series and films that they are currently watching, their own watch list and corresponding recommendations tailored to the respective user. Profiles especially for children can also be created.
When exactly users can access the fresh feature varies. Although the implementation has already started, since this is done in phases, the function is not yet available to all users in Germany and Austria.
