Luna is finally available in France. The Amazon-branded cloud gaming service is partially included in the Amazon Prime subscription, with a paid Luna+ plan for access to more games.

Already launched in the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany and Canada, Amazon Luna is coming to three new countries: France, Italy and Spain. Amazon Prime subscribers can stream a limited catalog of games at no extra cost, but you have to checkout to expand the catalog.

Luna+ and Ubisoft+

With a Prime subscription, it is possible to play titles like Fortnite and Trackmania through Luna. By linking their Prime Gaming account to their Ubisoft account, players can also launch a selection of Ubisoft games (in PC version) that they own on the cloud gaming service.

Then, Luna offers several subscription plans to obtain access to a richer catalog of games. Luna+, for example, provides access to games like Team Sonic Racing, SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom and Batman: Arkham Knight. This still seems limited for a price of 9.99 euros per month, with a seven-day free trial.

It is also possible to subscribe to Ubisoft+ directly from Luna, at 17.99 euros monthly, like on other platforms. This offer provides access to the entire Ubisoft catalog (Assassin’s Creed, Rainbow Six, Far Cry, etc.), including availability of games on the day of their release. As a reminder, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is released on December 7, 2023.

A dedicated controller

The platform finally offers an exclusive Jackbox Games subscription at 4.99 euros per month. This offers party games like Quiplash, Trivia Murder Party and Drawful.

You can play Luna via your Xbox or PlayStation controller, but a Luna controller optimized for the service is also available. It costs 69.99 euros, recalls the design of Xbox controllers, and allows you to seamlessly switch from one compatible screen to another, without pairing or additional configuration. Additionally, the Luna controller connects to the service’s cloud servers via Wi-Fi to reduce in-game latency.

Amazon Luna is playable on PC, Mac, Chromebook, iPhone, iPad, Android smartphones and tablets, Fire TV and select Samsung and LG Smart TV models.
