He must have felt like he was in the wrong movie. A student (28) from Essen in Germany was surprised in his sleep on January 25 by a special unit of the German police, the SEK – and how.
There is a loud bang in the middle of the night. Masked figures first kick in the door and then storm the 28-year-old’s apartment. The armed men drag him out of bed, throw the surprised man to the ground and tie him up. Only then does it turn out that the SEK is in the wrong apartment. You were wrong on the floor.
Actually, they should have gone to the neighbors. The parents of a student had filed a complaint against him because they said they had been threatened with a pistol by him. He should be arrested by the SEK. The special unit should have stormed his apartment.
“He’s still scared and can hardly sleep”
Instead, they kicked in the student’s door. With bad consequences. “He was scared to death and just whined the whole time: Please don’t shoot!”, explains the student’s lawyer, as reported by the “WDR”. He was also injured in the SEK operation. He couldn’t see well in one eye for a while. His leg was also affected. The police were not interested in that evening. Nobody took him to the hospital.
Student demands compensation
In view of the serious allegations, the Essen police say that no injuries were found after the student was deployed. And of course the door that was destroyed will also be repaired.
They also apologized to the man. But this is precisely what leaves the 28-year-old speechless. He received an Amazon voucher. And worth 50 euros. For the German an impertinence. He is demanding five-digit damages.
