A lucrative business. After many weeks of hearings, the verdict of the trial between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard fell this Wednesday, June 1. And it is ultimately the American actress who was convicted of defamation and must pay $10.35 million to her ex-husband.
An amount that the young womanwill not be able to “absolutely not”pay according to the words of his lawyer on the antenna of the NBC channel. This is in particular why Amber Heard has decided to appeal this decision. For his part, Johnny Depp expressed his immense relief after the announcement of the verdict. “Six years ago, my life, the life of my children, the life of my relatives, and also the life of the people who, for many years, supported me and believed in me, changed forever. (…) Six years later, the jury gave me back my life. I’m really grateful”, wrote the Pirates of the Caribbean actor on his Instagram account. During each hearing, a few dozen visitors could take their places in the seats of the court in Fairfax, Virginia, to follow the trial live. A privilege on which these people wanted to surf. Indeed, according to information from TMZ, some Internet users have decided to sell the bracelet which allowed them to access the interior of the court. And on eBay, sales have soared. Some bracelets are thus sold for up to 5,000 euros, or nearly 4,700 euros!
