Since 2017 and her remarkable performance in the lucrative action comedy Baby Driver, the Hollywood career of Mexican actress Eiza Gonzalez seems well launched. And for proof: after having played in blockbusters like Fast & Furious: Hobbs & Shaw, Bloodshot or Godzilla vs Kong, here she is now in the company of Jake Gyllenhaal and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II in Ambulance, an explosive new production by Michael Bay .
Born in Mexico City in 1990, Eiza Gonzalez lost her father in a car accident when she was 12 years old. She therefore grew up with her mother, the model Glenda Reyna, who decided to enroll her in acting lessons. As a teenager, she joined the prestigious M&M in Mexico City and then continued her training at the Televisa Center for Artistic Education (CEA). After a brief stay in New York where she passes by the famous Lee Strasberg Theater and Film Institute, she returns to Mexico and multiplies the castings.
In 2007, Eiza Gonzalez was spotted by a producer who offered her the lead role in the telenovela to success Lola, Erase una vez, that of the poor and ambitious Dolores ‘Lola’ Valente. The young woman then played the heroine of another soap opera aimed at a very young audience: Sueña conmigo (2010 – 2011). For these two programs, Eiza Gonzalez also shows her talents as a singer since she records no less than five albums very well received by the public.

Face could not be more known to telenovelasEiza Gonzalez plays one of the four protagonists of Amores verdaderos in 2012. A year later, the actress plays her first character in the cinema in the Mexican comedy Casi treinta signed Alejandro Sugich. In 2014, she joined the cast of one night in hella series derived from the cult film by Robert Rodriguez released in 1996. She plays the seductive vampire Santánico Pandemonium, who simply seeks to become free.
Eiza Gonzalez is not long in being requested by Hollywood and thus plays a small role in Jem and the Holograms (2016). But it’s the original Baby Driver (2017), where she lends her features to the sniper Darling, wife of Jon Hamm, who really launches her career in the United States. From then on, she chained the blockbusters, as evidenced by her performances in Alita: Battle Angel (2019), Fast & Furious: Hobbs & Shaw (id.), Bloodshot (2020), godzilla vs kong (2021) and Ambulance (2022).

In Michael Bay’s feature film, the actress plays Camille “Cam” Thompson, a Los Angeles rescue worker caught in an impressive chase between robbers Jake Gyllenhaal and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II and the forces of the order. To prepare for the role, Eiza Gonzalez worked closely with the first aider and nurse consultant Dannie Würtz. This introduced her to the precise care that must be given to a patient in critical condition on board an ambulance.
In parallel with this passion for action, Eiza Gonzalez distinguished herself in other genres such as fantasy (Paradise Hills), drama (Bienvenue à Marwen) and thriller (I Care A Lot, in which she played the little friend of Rosamund Pike). In addition, the native of México does not forget the series: in 2022, she will be in the casting of Extrapolations, alongside Marion Cotillard and Forest Whitaker, then of 3 Body Problem, a series of science fiction designed by the creators from Game of Thrones.
