Only a few more weeks/months before taking advantage of the new generations of processors and of graphics cards signed AMD.
Undoubtedly a little more discreet than Intel and NVIDIA, AMD is however progressing no less quickly than its competitors, and this, while running two hares at a time.
Win against Intel and NVIDIA?
There is no question of confirming a launch date yet, but AMD seems confident about its ability to keep its commitments and it is Lisa Su herself who announces the good news.
On the occasion of a conference call organized to present the group’s financial results, the boss of AMD first confirmed the information by declaring: ” Looking ahead, we are on track to launch our new 5nm Ryzen 7000 processors and AM5 platforms later this quarter “.
Remember that the latest rumors suggest a launch during the months of September or October, while the RDNA 3 generation of graphics cards should take place in the following weeks.
Again, AMD did not give a specific date, but the brand confirmed to be ” on track “for a release of the Radeon RX 7000” later in the year “. There should be two major launches for AMD before CES in Las Vegas and, each time, a competitor in front: the Raptor Lake from Intel on the CPU side and the GeForce RTX 4000 GPUs from NVIDIA.
