Again processors
Ryzen in order to densify AMD’s offer and fill certain gaps.

Since November, we have been talking a lot about Intel and its 12th generation of processors, the famous Alder Lake. However, AMD does not intend to leave the field open to its longtime competitor.

Boosted with 3D V-Cache

While waiting for more specific announcements about the Ryzen 6000 and 7000, AMD had mentioned the integration of a new technique for managing the cache of its processors: 3D V-Cache.

The idea is “simply” to stack the cache associated with the processor in order to be able to accommodate more of it in a given space. AMD estimates that the operation makes it possible to gain up to 15% in performance in the games of the moment, with otherwise identical configurations.

This 3D V-Cache is to be introduced with the release of the Ryzen 7 5800X3D. According to the latest information from our colleagues, this CPU would be released this month, but it would not be alone.

Indeed, AMD would have planned to further densify its offer to counter the release of more and more Alder Lake. Next to the Ryzen 7 5800X3D, we are therefore talking about Ryzen 5 5500, Ryzen 5 5600 and Ryzen 7 5700X.

The first is therefore “just one” Ryzen 7 5800X to which AMD has added the 3D V-Cache. The Ryzen 5 5500 would have 6 cores / 6 threads while the Ryzen 5 5600 would have 6 cores / 12 threads. Finally, the Ryzen 7 5700X would have 8 cores / 16 threads.
