AMD would finally postpone the launch of its graphics cards Radeon RX 6000 “refresh”, initially expected on April 20.

In the end, the three new Radeon RX 6000 “refresh” would not arrive before May 10. This is what we learn from the specialized site Guru3Dwhich is unable to explain precisely why AMD would make this postponement.

Three More Powerful Radeon Cards… But Not This Month

As a reminder, the brand is preparing three new, more powerful graphics cards, but still based on the same architecture as the current models. These Radeon RX 6650XT, RX 6750XT and RX 6950XT would mainly have faster video memory, amounting to 18 Gbps.

AMD would also slightly redesign the dissipation system of these new references, especially for the RX 6650XT which would benefit from a brand new reference design armed with two fans. In the reference version, these new cards would also be dressed all in black.

For AMD, the objective is to strengthen its Radeon RX 6000 range, which is attacked both by the new Intel ARC dedicated graphics cards, but also by the latest models from NVIDIA. This is particularly the case on the high end, with the brand new GeForce RTX 3090 Ti, launched at the end of March.
