AMD: processors for Amazon’s EC2 platforms

(CercleFinance.com) – AMD announced on Friday that it would supply its processors to equip Amazon’s latest-generation EC2 ‘cloud’ computing platform.

The semiconductor manufacturer has indicated that the fourth generation of its AMD Epyc chips will be present on Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) M7a solutions, but also Amazon EC2 Hpc7a.

These two secure and high-performance computing infrastructures should allow companies to meet their needs, for example to develop applications for Apple platforms.

AMD recalls that it has been collaborating with AWS, the ‘cloud’ division of Amazon, since 2018 to now contribute to a hundred workload programs.
