AMD’s latest top-of-the-line graphics card, the RX 7900 XTX, has been affected by overheating issues and self-throttling. We reveal what you should do if you are affected.

  • Some graphics cards show temperatures of 110 degrees Celsius and self-throttling.

AMD’s 7900 XTX just came out in December and already some users seem to have an overheating problem with the company’s new top graphics card.

On Reddit, several users report that their graphics cards sometimes reach temperatures of 110 degrees Celsius. At this value, the graphics card throttles its performance in order not to continue to overheat.

After an AMD employee is said to have explained at the beginning of the problems that these temperatures were normal, the graphics cards plagued by overheating are now to be sent to AMD in order to be able to find the problem.

As WCCFTECH reports, AMD is said to have now asked users whose RX 7900 XTX are affected by overheating and subsequent throttling to contact AMD support.
