The processors AMD Ryzen 7000 definitely promises a very impressive level of performance.
While the release of the tests isn’t expected until the end of the month – around the same time as the chipset launch – new leaks now detail the performance of the Ryzen 7 7700X.
Around the i7-12700K on CPU-Z…
Through the CPU-Z software validation system, we learn of the first measurements of this 8-core processor that AMD has planned to distribute while for the Ryzen 5000 generation, it had opted for the 5800X instead.
According to the database, the Ryzen 7 7700X was clocked on all its cores at a frequency of 5425 MHz, which is 25 MHz more than the official turbo of this CPU. On CPU-Z, this results in a score of 774 points in single thread which places it between the Intel Core i5-12600K and i7-12700K, clearly ahead of the Ryzen 7 5800X.

On the same software, but on the test multi-threaded this time, the Ryzen 7 7700X scores 8,381 points. A rather remarkable result which allows it to come close to the beefiest of Alder Lake processors, the Core i9-12900KF which scores 8,460 points.
… and more ahead on Geekbench 5
While the previous test was conducted on a Gigabyte X670E AORUS Master motherboard with DDR5-6400 CL30, the Geekbench database reveals another test of the Ryzen 7700X on an ASUS ROG Crosshair X670E Hero motherboard and with 64 GB of DDR5- 6000 this time.
Under such conditions, the Ryzen 7 7700X scores 2,209 in single thread which allows it to outperform the Core i7-12700K by 16%. In multi-threadedthere is a difference of 2%, still in favor of the Ryzen 7 7700X: it displays 14,459 points on this benchmark.
Remember that the Ryzen 7 7700X will be part of the first CPU salvo that AMD plans to launch on September 27. It will then be associated with the Ryzen 9 7950X, Ryzen 9 7900X and Ryzen 5 7600X.
