An output that would allow AMD to come and take Intel and its processors 13th generation, Raptor Lake.

A few days ago, AMD confirmed its processor roadmap and the Ryzen 7000s were clearly indicated there for release before the end of 2022. In reality, the launch could be even closer.

Zen 4, DDR5 and PCIe 5.0

Indeed, our colleagues from DigiTimes have just pointed out that the release of the first Ryzen 7000 “Raphael” should take place as early as September 2022, as certain rumors had mentioned at the start of the year.

In all likelihood, AMD will speak on May 23 during the Computex in Taipei and everything leads us to believe that Lisa Su’s firm would take the opportunity to clarify the situation.

The Ryzen 7000s are a major step for AMD, which will jointly launch its Zen 4 architecture. It will also introduce a new socket, the AM5, which will be an LGA (Land Grid Array) like at Intel.

Just for good measure and to show its competitor that it has resources, AMD will take the opportunity to integrate support for DDR5 RAM on two channels and 28 PCIe lanes… in Gen 5.0 of course.
