AMD: the Radeon RX 7000 and RDNA 3 will be announced on November 3

Minutes before Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 40 presentation, AMD broke its silence on Twitter via Scott Herkerlman, vice president and general manager of AMD Radeon. This one gave news on the RDNA 3 and Radeon RX 7000 graphics cards. Their announcement will come on November 3rd.

RDNA 3 is the new architecture that will equip the Radeon RX 7000 graphics cards. AMD has already unveiled its outlines with the introduction of the chiplet technique, a technology already used on Ryzen processors. This new generation of graphics cards will also be based on a fine engraving of 5 nm, against 7 nm for the current generation of Radeon.

In a blog post, AMD emphasized the energy efficiency of its graphics cards, claiming an increase in the efficiency of its RDNA 3 architecture of around 50% compared to the previous generation, thus promising graphics cards that are cooler, quieter and have an environmentally conscious design.

We will therefore have to wait until November 3, 2022 to discover the Radeon RX 7000s, which leaves the field open to Nvidia. Indeed, the GeForce RTX 4090 will be available on October 12, while the two GeForce RTX 4080 will be offered for sale in November. Autumn promises to be busy!
