The processors Threadripper should therefore very quickly follow the next developments in the Ryzen range.

While there is a lot of talk about the new Ryzen which could be released in the next few months, AMD confirms that it is of course not finished with the Threadripper.

Zen 4, DDR5 and PCIe 5.0

In a simple way, but also could not be more direct, AMD presented its processor roadmap and it leaves little room for doubt. The Zen 4 architecture will therefore also concern Threadripper processors with a 7000 range.

Several versions will logically be available with a maximum of 96 cores / 192 threads for the more muscular. Zen 4 will therefore be on the menu and there is talk of a 5 nm engraving by TSMC. Unsurprisingly, support for DDR5 and PCI Express 5.0 is planned.

Finally, and this is probably the most important, AMD confirms that the release of the first processors of this Threadripper 7000 range will not take place this year, but in 2023.
