Saturday February 6, 2021, NIkos Aliagas launched season 10 of The Voice with a new quartet of coaches: Amel Bent, Marc Lavoine, Florent Pagny and Vianney. Séri, a young 19-year-old from Nantes in Loire-Atlantique, managed to seduce two of them during this first edition of the blind auditions: Amel Bent and Vianney. Once his chair returned, the 29-year-old singer-songwriter tried to convince the talent to join his team. "This is the moment you choose between Timon and Pumba”, he told her, referring to the characters in the Disney cartoon The Lion King. “I'm not sure I validate this valve”, Amel Bent quickly started, thinking he compared her to a warthog. Once Séri returned backstage (after choosing to join the Vianney team), Sofia and Hana's mother wanted to explain to him: "So I just want to know something, it's very important to me. When you say Timon and Pumbaa… ”
Vianney understood where she was going with this and immediately wanted to reassure her: "Ah bah I was Pumbaa!", he said. "Oh yeah, that's just to know because I've tried a lot in the last few months … I haven't eaten much and Pumbaa is fat whatA relieved Amel Bent replied, referring to her recent weight loss. My philosophy has indeed managed to shed ten kilos during confinement, thanks to a better hygiene of life.
Amel Bent and Vianney are very close
But nothing to upset Amel Bent, who is thrilled to have spent time with her friend Vianney on the set of the entertainment which has attracted 6.31 million viewers. "I love it! The Voice has boosted our bond. We are kindly looking for each other. If I'm Timon, that's fine with me. But Pumbaa … after all my food efforts, I would live it very badly", she assured before adding: "We laughed so much, it's a real treat, all those little moments ".
Amel Bent and Vianney do not hesitate to tease each other. Later in the evening, the juror of the tele-hook had also humorously repeated her colleague who had just used the term twice "disillusioned": "I can't hear you say 'disillusioned' anymore, you shouldn't use that word anymore. Maybe nuance… In a voice contest, you can't ask people to be disillusioned."
