Amel Bent very upset during the first blind auditions

The famous TF1 telecrochet is finally back on our screens. Season 11 of The Voice began, this Saturday, February 12, with its usual blind auditions. The four coaches, Amel Bent, Florent Pagny, Marc Lavoine and Vianney have returned to service in their traditional red armchairs. And this new season welcomes a little novelty: a fifth surprise coach, who is none other than Nolwenn Leroy, who has been entrusted with an important mission: to pick up candidates on whom the other coaches would not have returned. But this first broadcast was not easy for a particular coach. Indeed, Amel Bent, who turned nine times on candidates, struggled to convince candidates.

When Louise, 21, took the stage to perform the title Indigo Night of Tamino, Amel Bent was so amazed by the performance of the young singer accompanied by her piano that she tried everything to persuade her to join her team. She even decided to block Florent Pagny, fearing that he would steal this talent from her! But despite his well-rehearsed strategy, Amel Bent saw Louise join Vianney.

Only one candidate for Amel Bent

“I’m going to cry… I have too many hormones and not enough talent!“, lamented the artist, pregnant with her third child, not without humor. Amel Bent is however entitled to be a bit disappointed, since she did not manage to attract only one candidate, Nabila, during the evening. The interpreter of “Chant des colombes” was left behind by Florent Pagny, who has already brought together four talents during this first round of blind auditions. There is no doubt that the fact that he has already won the singing competition four times with his talents weighed in the balance in the choice of candidates…

Amel Bent even experienced another small misadventure on the set of The Voice. Nathalie, a candidate from South Africa, provided a controlled performance on the song “Stop This Flame”, by British artist Celeste. Amel Bent, like the other three coaches, therefore naturally turned on her. To try to convince her at best, Amel Bent bet on the mother tongue of the singer. “I want you in my team“, she threw at him.
