(AOF) – Amgen today announced the launch of Amgen Partners of Choice, a new network that brings together its oncology research experts and world-class specialists in eight research centers around the world. This network will encourage academic collaboration to advance new therapeutic options for patients with the greatest unmet needs.
The network aims to create multiple channels of collaboration on a global scale to accelerate the transfer of new transformational programs to healthcare leaders. Amgen Partners of Choice’s current projects focus on select disease areas and tumor types, including thoracic, gastrointestinal and genitourinary cancers.
The network’s member institutions are Asan Medical Center (Seoul, South Korea), Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (Boston), West German Cancer Center at University Hospital Essen (Essen, Germany), Gustave Roussy (Paris), Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (New York), Peter MacCallum Cancer Center (Melbourne, Australia), University Health Network’s Princess Margaret Cancer Center (Toronto), and Vall d’Hebron Oncology Institute (Barcelona, Spain)
