Among Us is now playable in virtual reality on certain VR headsets


Released in 2018, Among Us went unnoticed at first, before becoming a real success just over a year after its initial release. The indie game then quickly became one of the most popular titles and had many ports on almost all current platforms. Today, it is in virtual reality that we can unmask imposters.

Who will get kicked out in VR?

Project announced in December 2021 during the Game Awards ceremony, this virtual reality version took almost a year before being deployed. simply stamped Among Us VR, this iteration allows to find the concept of the impostor but with a helmet on the head. Everything is of course designed for virtual reality, with a game that was entirely developed for this occasion.

Among Us thus passes to first person for more immersive games that correspond more to VR standards, with movement options that can be performed with one or two hands. Various comfort settings are also available to play with the settings you want. Sold as a standalone, that is to say, a real game in its own right with its own community, the title will also be entitled to updates in the future.

For now, it is only playable on PC, via Steam and the Oculus store. Meta Quest Pro, Meta Quest 2, HTC Vive or other Steam VR compatible headsets. For the PlayStation VR versions, we will still have to wait.
