During the Game Awards 2021 ceremony, Innersloth surprised everyone a little by announcing that its multiplayer game was coming to VR. If we haven’t had precise information since or on what’s new in the normal version, we should have some soon enough. Moreover, its release date could have leaked, via the Steam database, as revealed by SteamDB. This would be scheduled for the month of December, the 13th.
However, it may be that this date is not correct, and that it is rather a “placeholder”, a practice very often used to complete databases. Before the date of December 13, it had, briefly, been indicated that of November 10. This, however, suggests that Innersloth does not plan to launch the VR version of Among Us in the coming weeks..

We’ll most likely find out a bit more this April 20, when the Meta Quest Gaming Showcase, in which Among Us VR will make an appearance, and hopefully give us a release window or date. Remember, finally, that Among Us VR is an independent version and can only be played in VR, therefore without cross-play. This explains why the port takes longer than on a traditional console.
