Amouranth urges Twitch to reveal reason for bans

As the bans follow one another at the start of the year, leaving many streamers completely helpless, Amouranth urged Twitch to reveal the reasons for the bans, saying the current system is “cowardly” and that it is only designed to help Twitch avoid blame.

If when the ax falls, Twitch deigns to share some information, streamers generally do not know what concretely earned them this sanction, pushing them to make their own deductions.

Amouranth called for this to change. In his eyes, Twitch needs to change its tune and start being clearer when it comes to bans and finally “accept responsibility” of their terms of use.

“They do it because they don’t want to take responsibility for saying what you did wrong. They don’t want to be in charge of enforcing their own policies.”, said the streamer.

Amouranth urges Twitch to take responsibility

Having been banned multiple times herself, Amouranth revealed that she spent days trying to figure out what she had done wrong and was never really alerted to what she should. Avoid doing this in the future so it doesn’t happen again.

“You know they didn’t seem to like my ASMR streams with a bird mask“, she said, while showing clips of her live where she wore a pigeon mask. “But, they didn’t really tell me. Whatever I did wrong, I have to find out for myself, but obviously whatever it is, they don’t like it.”

“It is ironical”, added Amouranth, “because I’m here embracing my sexuality, and people have issues with that, whereas in all the games that teenagers and adults play on Twitch, there are constantly sexualized women. Dead or Alive is women in bikinis, GTA has strippers, that’s good. There are only real women, we can’t embrace our sexuality, not that Twitch is telling me that.”

The streamer had previously criticized Twitch for not disclosing the reason for her ban last October, when platform officials said they would be “more transparent” with streamers.

Anyway, even if she finds this situation “ridiculous”, the young woman does not intend to pack her bags, determined to exploit the “renewable energy source” what do haters mean to her?
