Amplitude’s next game, Endless Dungeon, is entering closed beta


The Parisian studio announced it this evening, Endless Dungeon enters OpenDev, a kind of beta on registration that will allow Amplitude to aggregate opinions and data to improve its copy before release. This test phase will begin on June 30, and all you have to do is register at this address by filling out a form to participate.

On the program of this solo game: three heroes, ten monsters, two districts, thirteen weapons, four objects and ten turrets, which suggests that the central elements of the first part will return, such as the need to establish defenses on areas already explored. The video unveiled this evening gives pride of place to action, explosions and other pyrotechnic effects through a staging of the fights which seems much more rhythmic than before.

The developers want to gather as many opinions as possible on the central aspects of the game, namely exploration, the preparation of defenses and combat, but also on the overall pace of the title. There will therefore be no progression system between the runs during this test, no more than narrative elements that will be present in the final version. The number of places being limited, it’s a safe bet that Amplitude will gauge the potential of candidates to give their opinion through forms sent automatically after each game, by drowning candidates from the start with other forms.
