Amundi: 593 ME of net income in the first half


(CercleFinance.com) – Amundi has just published its results for the first half of 2022 and announces 593 ME in net profit for the first half (adjusted net profit of 269 ME).

Amundi also notes a significant increase in net operating expenses (+12% compared to the 1st half of 2021 and +4.6% at constant scope) and a maintenance of operational efficiency (cost/income ratio of 53%).

First-half activity was good: inflows of +€5.0 billion, and +€11.0 billion in MLT ex Jvs. Amundi noted strong momentum in the retail market (+€13.4 billion in MLT assets), limited outflows from institutional clients (-€2.4 billion in MLT assets), outflows from treasury products (-27.6 billion euros) and sustained net inflows in Asian JVs (+21.5 billion euros).

Assets under management were 1,925 billion euros as of June 30, 2022.

Commenting on these figures, Valérie Baudson, Director, said: ‘Amundi maintained a good level of profitability and operational efficiency, demonstrating the robustness of its diversified model. Total inflows were positive in the 2nd quarter, thanks to the resilience of the Retail activity, the solidity of our Asian joint ventures and the good performance of our growth drivers. Amundi Technology continues to develop and sees its revenues increase sharply. ‘
