While China often appears as the new El Dorado for international asset managers, India also offers tempting prospects. This is evidenced by the decision of Amundi, the leading European manager, and State Bank of India, the leading Indian bank, to IPO 10% of the capital of their local joint venture SBI Funds.

Main Indian management company, SBI Funds managed the equivalent of 165 billion euros at the end of September. The two sides hope to get $ 1 billion (890 million euros) from its listing, Bloomberg says. An amount that the two shareholders do not comment on.
