The cult of the late singer Amy Winehouse continues. Now her last concert dress has been auctioned for an unbelievable amount.

It was June 18, 2011 in the Serbian capital Belgrade. The British artist Amy Winehouse (1983-2011) stepped onto a stage for the very last time in a green and black halter neck mini dress with a bamboo print by designer Naomi Parry – heavily marked by alcohol and drugs. The start of the European tour was supposed to boost her stagnant career, but nothing came of it: About a month later, Amy Winehouse was dead.

The famous dress, in which she was completely drunk and unable to sing her own lyrics, was now put up for auction in Beverly Hills. The total achieved: $ 243,200, around 210,000 euros. In advance, the dress was estimated by experts from the auction house “Julien’s Auctions” at 15,000 to 20,000 US dollars. A total of 16 bids were received for the Winehouse garment. It was not announced who ultimately won the bid.

A bra also went under the hammer

The images of the staggering and slurping Winehouse in the said dress, which was mercilessly booed by the audience, went around the world at that time. The “Rehab” singer wanted to celebrate her big comeback after a two year concert break in Belgrade. After the scandal, however, your management canceled all of the following appointments.

At the auction in California, more of Winehouse’s belongings changed hands. For example, the organizers sold a red leather bag for $ 205,000, two stuffed animals for $ 6,200, and a brassiere for $ 25,000. Winehouse died at the age of only 27 on July 23, 2011 in her London apartment of complications from alcohol poisoning.
