An 8K-compatible 13-in-1 USB-C docking station from Ugreen

Ugreen completes its already well-stocked range of USB-C hubs with a docking station with no less than 13 ports. In tower format, there is an SD or microSD card reader on the front, two USB ports (10 Gb / s), one full format and the second Type-C, as well as a jack.

At the back, it’s a riot of video interfaces with two HDMI ports, one compatible with 4K at 60 Hz, the second 8K at 30 Hz. A 4K DisplayPort port at 60 Hz completes the whole thing, which allows, thanks to DisplayLink, to take advantage of the triple screen, even on the Apple MacBook M1s, on the sole condition of being satisfied with 4K at 60 Hz. Finally, there are two USB sockets (5 Gb / s), a USB port -C compatible Power Delivery at 100 W and a Gigabit Ethernet port.

We regret the shyness of Ugreen on the speed of the Ethernet port, which would have deserved to switch to multi-Gig, just like the card reader which is limited to UHS-1 (104 MB/s) while UHS -II triples the flow rates.

Ugreen’s 13-in-1 Docking Station will be available soon for €329.
