Children and teenagers of yesterday will certainly be delighted to learn that one of the most notable science fiction mangas of the 80s will return with great fanfare soon on the platform.

A cult franchise back on Netflix!

Giant mechas that happily stand on their faces in an astronomical quantity of Japanese anime, a cult manga from the 80s… Does that mean something to you? We are of course talking here about Gundam, the franchise created by Yoshiyuki Tomino and Hajime Yatate, two icons of the industry. After numerous and varied adaptations ranging from paper iterations to animated films, including anime and video games, Gundam will soon return with a very big project on Netflix.

Gundam: Requiem for Vengeance will be a particularly ambitious series designed with Unreal Engine 5, Epic’s visual engine to which we owe real technical prowess in recent times. The program is produced by SAFEHOUSE studios, veterans of CGI animation and video games. The series will set its plot during the famous One Year War, also the scene of the first Gundam works.

Series Gundam Requiem for Vengeance will provide the spectacle and will also focus on the human drama that affects the pilots. We therefore expect a series that is both visually impressive and perhaps very touching. No release date yet unfortunately, but this Netflix series shouldn’t take too long. Does it heat you up?
