an actor leaves the saga and will not appear in future films

Sad news for fans of the "After" saga. An actor dear to their hearts has just announced his departure on his Instagram account.

In September 2020, Josephine Langford and Hero Fiennes Tiffin, the main actors of the saga After (the film adaptation of Anna Todd's bestsellers), announced that a third and fourth films were indeed planned. A trailer for the second part had even been revealed to us. Then two more sequels were confirmed, but it seems that the production is having some difficulties … As filming has started, we have just learned that an actor will not be there. It's Shane Paul McGhie, who plays Landon Gibson, Hardin's half-brother and Tessa's best friend.

On his Instagram account, the actor announced his departure with great emotion: "It is with a heavy heart that I announce to you that I will not be participating in the filming in Bulgaria." The 26-year-old vaguely explains his reasons: it would be a disagreement with the production. He also wanted to thank the fans and especially those who were his partners on screen, Josephine Langford and Hero Fiennes Tiffin: "For me, he writes, Landon represents hope for humanity, and his relationship with Tessa exemplifies the unconditional friendship we all seek, but only the lucky few have the opportunity to experience. He has taught me so much and playing him has been an experience that will stay with me forever. (…) Thank you all for welcoming me into the After family and supporting me throughout this adventure. "

So who to replace Shane Paul MacGhie and reprise the role of Landon? According to rumors relayed by Just jaredis Chance Perdomo, interpreter of Ambrose in The New Adventures of Sabrina, who would be tipped to play Tessa's best friend. After: Chapter 2 was released on October 2 in the United States, in theaters and on VOD. As for France, we are still (desperately) awaiting the announcement of a release date.

After: The third and fourth sections will see the light of day in the cinema
