An actress from The Last of Us in the live action remake of Dragons

Ready to return to Berk Island? The animated movie Dragons is about to return to the big screen in a live action version, currently in preparation. The remake has just passed a new stage with the announcement of the actors who will lend their features to Harold and Astrid.

And the main actors at the heart of this next film Dragons are Mason Thames and Nico Parker. If their names may not tell you much, series lovers know them well. Mason Thames thus appeared in For All Mankind (on Apple TV+) and the recent horror movie Black Phone by Scott Derrickson.

For her part, Nico Parker is known for her role as Sarah, the daughter of Joel (Pedro Pascal) in The Last of Us. She had also appeared in the movies Dumbo And Reminiscence. Nico Parker is also the daughter of actress Thandiwe Newton (Westworld, Impossible mission).

On paper, we can doubt the interest of making a live action remake of Dragons (How to train your Dragon in OV). But the project has some reassuring elements up its sleeves, since it is directed by Dean DeBlois, already at the helm of the original trilogy, released in 2010, 2014 and 2019. A guarantee of quality.

As a reminder, Dragons tells the life of a small Viking village of Berk, fighting against repeated dragon attacks. Until the day when Harold, the chef’s young apprentice, will befriend the dragon Toothless, and change the way his people see his creatures.
