His name is Dave Spark, he’s American, he likes snow, he likes unusual machines and he wanted to transform a Cybertruck into a sort of hybridization between a snowmobile and a tank. After all, hadn’t Elon Musk talked about the Cybertruk as an armored tank inspired by Blade Runner?
Comfortable in the snow
The production seems perfect and the integration of the tracks has been visibly careful. Note that although a full video is to appear on YouTube, Dave could not resist the urge to share some shots filmed using a drone .
I was trying to hold off on posting any videos of the CyberTrax until we had the full YouTube video ready to go but I’m impatient and really just want to share it with you right now, so here ya go….enjoy 😠Ž
Huge thanks to the folks at @teslamotors for being so cool and supportive… pic.twitter.com/Bkw9AbShgm

In his tweet, he salutes the support of Tesla’s technical teams who helped him on the project, particularly with technical problems which arose when adopting the tracks. Moreover, the original suspensions quickly failed, the fault of significantly greater pressure and constraints on the snow.
We don’t have the consumption, but to give an idea, the Taïga Nomad, an electric snowmobile, travels 100 km with a 27 kWh battery for a weight of 350 kg. The CyberTrax being ten times heavier, it should consume 270 kWh/100 km. It will therefore only be able to travel around forty kilometers with a full charge.
The YouTube video will show the different stages of assembly and discuss the problems encountered. Beyond the fun aspect, there is also a lot to discover about the design of an electric vehicle operating on snow.
