an announcement coming soon? The fans are panicking

Dragon Ball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 4 is once again in the news, but this time, the studio is visibly hinting that an announcement is approaching.

In recent years, fans of the Dragon Ball franchise have been served video games. We can cite the opus called Kakarot, but also FighterZ or Xenoverse 2. However, there is a series of fighting games whose return is particularly requested by the community. We are obviously talking about Dragon Ball Z Budokai Tenkaichi. Not counting the HD PS3 compilation which included the content of 1 and 2, the last real opus dates from 2007. But last March, a sequel was finally announced. However, since then, it has been completely calm. We have no news of the title. However, this could soon change.

Soon news of Dragon Ball Tenkaichi 4?

It was the publisher of the license, Bandai Namco, who unwittingly tickled fans’ patience. In fact, the company has not yet made an official announcement stating that it was going to show us a new trailer. But on September 26, 2023, it registered the brand name in the United States Sparking! Zero. For those who don’t know, Sparking is the name given in Japan to the Dragon Ball Z Budokai Tenkaichi games. This therefore potentially gives us a clue as to the future name of this new iteration long awaited by the community. Can we also anticipate another announcement that would complement this one?

For now, Dragon Ball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 4 has only been shown through a single teaser. This didn’t reveal much, other than the fact that the game existed. In short, no platforms and release dates to get your teeth into. A rumor explained that a new trailer was to be revealed during Anime Expo 2023. Unfortunately, it was false and some gameplay was still lacking. On the other hand, this trademark registration made by Bandai Namco suggests that a new appearance of the game in the coming months cannot be ruled out. Maybe he could spring a surprise at the Game Awards in December?

Kakarot still has a say

If you need your daily dose of Dragon Ball, know that Kakarot still has cartridges in reserve. Since its release, it has regularly enriched its content with DLC. Fans were able to enjoy the fifth additional content on the 23rd World Tournament, but it’s not over. A sixth DLC is due to arrive, and it has reportedly leaked. L’insider DbsHype, which often hits the mark when it comes to Dragon Ball news, revealed two gifs referring to an iconic fight: that of Goku against Oob, the reincarnation of Majin Buu. This would conclude the story of Dragon Ball Z, before beginning that of Great (or GT) via a third season pass.
