An attacker injures three people with a knife in the Lyon metro

PARIS (Reuters) – Three people were injured in a knife attack in the Lyon metro on Sunday, authorities said.

A suspect was arrested, the local prefecture said.

According to the media ActuLyon citing a police source, the arrested suspect, aged 27, is known to the police for common law crimes.

Arrested without difficulty at the Jean-Jaurès metro station, the man did not state any religious or political demands when stabbing his victims, the same source added.
