Polar presents its brand new high-end watch, the Polar Vantage V3. This integrates a new suite of sensors, an Oled screen and many new features.

One Elixir for four sensors

Sports watches rely above all on a good suite of activity and health sensors. Polar presented a whole host of them with its new watch and to mark the occasion, the Finnish brand decided to name this set of sensors under one and the same word: Elixir.

Behind this term, we find a new heart rate sensor, their 4th generation more precise by 25%, their first pulse oximeter to measure sPO2, their first electrocardiogram supposed to help recovery and their first skin temperature sensor. If these are features already present in their competitors, the least we can say is that the Vantage V3 concentrates a lot of new features for Polar.

Oled screen and good autonomy

The watch also includes a 1.39-inch Oled screen with 462 ppi resolution protected by curved Gorilla Glass 3. It is a touch screen, but the watch still includes five buttons to navigate even with gloves.

Or why not underwater, since Polar guarantees WR50 water resistance and better measurement of underwater activity. Out of the water, the watch benefits from a Dual Band GPS (very useful in somewhat covered places and, this is new, the possibility of downloading maps offline. A guidance functionality will be provided by the komoot application. To store all this, the watch relies on 32 GB of storage. It runs all these beautiful people using a new CPU supposed to be 129% faster than the previous one.

Prices and availability

The Polar Vantage V3 will be available from October 25 for 600 euros. Pre-orders are open.
