an ultra-efficient featherweight

We had the opportunity to test the third iteration of Razer’s Deathadder Pro mouse. A new reference in the matter? That’s what we’re going to see.

We never tell you enough but fashion is for light mice. And one of the features that has the most wind in its sails is the presence of a honeycomb carcass to lighten the weight of the device as much as possible. A design that is clearly not unanimous. Razer is therefore going against the grain and offers its Deathadder V3 Pro, a featherweight but with a very neat design.

Elegance in all lightness

If the model exists in black and white, it is this last version that we had for testing. The most beautiful and elegant with lines of great purity. Its only drawback, which does not generate maniacs like yours truly, is that white tends to get dirty quickly so we advise you to always have clean hands so that it can keep all its splendour. 28% lighter than version 2, the Razer Deathadder V3 Pro loses 25 grams to weigh a total of 63 grams on the scale. Its textured surface is pleasant to the touch and in the hand and provides excellent grip. There are even self-adhesive grips in the box to improve the grip according to your preferences (claw grip or fingertip grip). On the other hand, it is a mouse that is only for right-handed people.

We really appreciate the comfort that results from this excellent ergonomics. Perfectly adapted to the morphology of our hand, the Deathadder V3 is very comfortable. It’s all the more amazing when you know that it’s a light mouse and how difficult it is to be able to combine the two.

Excellent performance

The possibility of improving the grip.

Like the V2 Pro that we tested a while ago, the Deathadder V3 Pro mouse is equipped with HyperSpeed Wireless technology which allows it to compete with wired mice. No latency is to be deplored as long as one remains in 2.4 GHz mode. To save a few grams, the mouse loses its bluetooth connection anyway, so the question of choosing the type of connection does not really arise. Getting started is simple and plug’n play and you can configure everything in the in-house Razer Synapse software. Everything is programmable and you can also save profiles according to your uses or preferences. However, it has fewer buttons than version 2 with only 5 compared to 8 previously. Once again we feel that everything has been done to reduce the weight of the device as much as possible.

Performance-wise, it’s flawless. It is equipped with a Focus Pro 30K optical sensor which is assisted by artificial intelligence features such as Smart Tracking, Motion Sync and Asymmetric Cut-off. More than just names to flatter the consumer’s ego and comfort him in his choice, all this notably allows the mouse to calibrate itself automatically on different surfaces and to be perfectly synchronous with what your PC displays.

The Deathadder V3 Pro has many arguments to make it the best light mouse at the moment, its only obstacle to the purchase being in fact its price of 159 euros, which is far from trivial and which once again underlines the fairly premium side of Razer products.
