Who you gonna call? Ghostbusters! A new trailer for Ghostbusters: The Ice Menace is here and does not hesitate to play the nostalgia card to convince.
Ghostbusters Frozen Empire is the name of the next Ghostbusters film starring Paul Rudd, Finn Wolfhard and some of the veterans including Dan Aykroyd (Ray), Bill Murray (Venkman), Ernie Hudson (Winston) and Annie Potts (Janine). And for this fourth feature film, Ivan Reitman’s cult franchise has chosen to return to its roots by bringing the action back to New York and once again bringing in some well-known faces.

The ultra cult Ghostbusters license is not dead and will return this year with Ghostbusters: The Ice Menace. A film that wants to be both a tribute to the first two absolutely essential episodes, and an extension with the arrival of budding hunters like Finn Wolfhard (Stranger Things). Return to New York therefore, where the real HQ of the Ghostbusters is located, which will unsurprisingly be invaded by ectoplasms and an evil force which will cast an icy cold on the Big Apple.
And for this new trailer for Ghostbusters Frozen Empire, director Gil Kenan (Monster House, Poltergeist from 2015…) doesn’t skimp on fan service. In addition to the actors from the first films, we see ghosts like the ghost of the library and the wonderful Bouffe-tout. Nothing has changed for this creature since it stuffs itself as much as possible and passes through Trevor’s body, leaving him with a little slime. The references are not subtle, but maybe Gil Kenan will reconcile the fans? In any case, this is clearly his objective when seeing this fresh trailer, and some people should melt.
