an ultra-promising mix of Animal Crossing and Story of Season!

Animal Crossing and Story of Season had a son, his name is Faefarm and it’s happening very, very fast. A small bubble of fresh air between two ultra nag TPS, we do not say no.

The Summer Game Fest 2023 was once again loaded with announcements. A release date for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, a sublime trailer for Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, ultra-violent gameplay for Mortal Kombat 1 and big surprises like James Carpenter’s game. But between all these announcements slipped a much more intimate game, but not devoid of interest for all that.

Faefarm, the fresh touch of Summer Game Fest 2023

Spiritual son of Animal Crossing, Stardew Valley or Story of Seasons, faefarm offers players to take care of an exploitation. We can grow fruits, vegetables, but also raise animals. In addition to the farming aspect, the game will allow you to develop a whole social component by letting you forge links with the inhabitants of the surroundings. A city will also be accessible and will open the doors to several shops and other public places where you can meet people, but also purchases for your farm and your house. Animal Crossing like requires, housing will be part of it.

Faefarm allows players to design their home the way they want, inside and out. Faefarm’s Comfort System rewards players who wisely place special furniture and decor, improving their health, stamina, and mana every day. The more comfortable your home, the more rewards you’ll unlock!

An Animal Crossing with exploration to do in multiplayer

faefarm will also open its universe to explorers since between daily tasks, you can also go for a walk to discover the secrets hidden in the world of Azoria. Exploration will also be essential to collect resources that will later be useful to build useful objects to develop your exploitation or simply to decorate your house.

Cherry on the cake, faefarm will be playable in cooperation up to 4 players. The Phoenix Labs studio (Dauntless) wanted Faefarm to be a true love letter to the “farm sim” genre. The game is therefore full of nods to the genre, but also deepens many of its mechanics. Many things still remain to be discovered.
Faefarm is expected on Nintendo Switch and PC on next september 8.
