Second season confirmed for “SATC” spin-off

The “Sex and the City” spin-off “And Just Like That…” is entering the next round. HBO Max confirms that a second season is planned.
The sequel to “Sex and the City” is getting a sequel. The spin-off And Just Like That… will be filming another season, HBO Max confirms. The US streaming service published on Instagram, among others a short clip saying, “And just like that, we’re coming back for season two.”
“I’m delighted and excited to tell more stories from these vibrant, bold characters – played by these powerful, amazing actresses. In fact, we’re all excited,” producer, writer and director Michael Patrick King (67) is quoted as saying in a press release .
Top-grossing original series on HBO Max
Accordingly, the series is also the most successful original series from the provider to date. Sarah Aubrey, Head of Original Content at HBO Max, is excited about the conversations the characters and their stories have sparked. “We can’t wait for fans to see what’s in store for them in season two!”
In Germany, the series can be seen via Sky Ticket. The ten episodes of the first season revolved around the well-known characters from “Sex and the City” Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker, 56), Charlotte York (Kristin Davis, 57) and Miranda Hobbes (Cynthia Nixon, 55). The fourth in the group, Samantha Jones, played by Kim Cattrall (65), was no longer part of the new series.
The actresses thanked fans and supporters on Instagram. “Thanks to our viewers”, writes Parker. The audience is quite simply the heartbeat of the series. Davis be “besides me with joy to be able to continue”. And also Nixons looking forward to the new episodes.
