Nicole Ari Parker is one of the actresses in the “Sex and the City” spin-off “And Just Like That …”. She is not a replacement for Kim Cattrall.
In December, the new “Sex and the City” spin-off “And Just Like That …” will start on the US streaming service HBO Max. Kim Cattrall (65), who played Samantha in the original, will no longer be there. But fans will see Nicole Ari Parker (51) in her role as Lisa Todd Wexley, as it became known in September. The actress now makes it clear that she should not be a replacement for her colleague, as had been suspected in some places.

“When it first became known that I would replace the Samantha character – which by the way is not true at all, so please write that – I was yelled at, but also showered with love”, explains the 51-year-old in an interview with the industry magazine “The Hollywood Reporter”. She was suddenly photographed in the most impossible places.
The fans of “Sex and the City” are generally enthusiastic. Since she is a fan of the cult series herself, she could have roughly imagined it, but did not expect such an extent. About “And Just Like That …” Nicole tells Ari Parker only that everything is going great with the filming, which is currently taking place. “The clothes alone are incredible,” she enthuses.
Parker is one of the actresses to join the cast. She will star alongside Sarah Jessica Parker (56, Carrie), Cynthia Nixon (55, Miranda) and Kristin Davis (56, Charlotte), who became stars with the original. And one thing fans can obviously rely on: “Everyone is still having sex and it’s wonderful.”
