Did Elon Musk spend too much time in front of the excellent carpool karaoke by James Corden? According to the recent commercialization of the “TeslaMic”, the businessman clearly wants to to yell sing his clients to Mariah Carey. Tesla offers owners of its vehicles to buy microphones dedicated to the song, only in China for now. On the occasion of the Lunar New Year, Tesla recently updated its Chinese vehicles with, among the novelties, a new software called “Leishi KTV”. In a country where karaoke is very popular, it is a jukebox offering several songs with subtitles. Connoisseurs of Elon Musk’s company will no doubt make the comparison with the Caraoke software, present since the V10 of the Tesla software, but the latter is much less complete.
With TeslaMics, two people in a Tesla (stationary of course) can sing together and use effects to distort or enhance their voice. It also seems possible to use the microphones outside the car to sing, while using the exterior speakers of your vehicle to share your talents with your neighbors. While offering the Chinese a fun accessory, Tesla maintains its reputation as a manufacturer like no other.
Regarding the deployment of the TeslaMic internationally, nothing has been said for the moment. However, we can hope that Elon Musk speaks quickly on the subject on Twitter, it would be surprising not to see him comment on such a sensitive matter.
