Couple is back together in front of the camera

The actor couple Andrea Sawatzki and Christian Berkel are together in front of the camera for the TV film “Quershot”.
Andrea Sawatzki (60) and Christian Berkel (65) are shooting together again. The actor couple is currently in front of the camera for the film “Quershot”, as the Bavarian radio announced on Tuesday. Berkel and Sawatzki play a pair of siblings in the TV film. Her father takes his own life shortly before his 80th birthday.
“Quershot” is scheduled to run on the first in 2024, as part of FilmWednesday at 8:15 p.m. There is no exact date yet. Nicole Weegmann (57) directs, Bibiana Beglau (51) plays Christian Berkel’s film wife.
Berkel and Sawatzki: a routine couple in front of the camera
For Andrea Sawatzki and Christian Berkel, “Quershot” is by far not the first joint film. The couple has already shot more than ten films and series episodes together. These include the cinema hit “Das Experiment” from 2001. Berkel also gave a guest performance at the Frankfurt “Tatort”, where Sawatzki, as chief commissioner, investigated Charlotte Sänger from 2002 to 2010.
In addition, they stood in front of the camera for a VW advertisement in 2021 and dubbed both characters in “The Fantastic Fox” by Wes Anderson (54).
Privately, Berkel and Sawatzki have been a team since 1998. However, the two only married in 2011. Even before the marriage, two sons were born: Moritz (24) and Bruno (21).
